For William 'Bill' Dierker, a passion for birds touched all facets of life

Mr. Dierker, a bird watcher since he was able to hold binoculars, his wife said, received his doctorate from MU in the late 1970s and worked on an MU Extension project that identified weeds in crop fields across Missouri.
