Former Tiger Michael Sam, accompanied by E.J. Gaines, makes an on-field appearance during the first quarter of the Tiger's opening game Saturday against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at Memorial Stadium.

Michael Sam was waived by the St. Louis Rams on Saturday when the NFL team cut its roster to 53 players.
