Due to cold weather, Missouri is now scheduled to play a doubleheader against the Eastern Michigan beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The Missouri baseball team is having its worst start the program has seen, with a 0-6 record.

The Tigers were scheduled to play their first home series of the season beginning Friday against Northwestern, but Columbia's recent snowfall resulted in a cancellation.

The first pitch of the Tigers' home schedule is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday at Taylor Stadium. Rob Zastryzny is Missouri's scheduled starter.

Another late game collapse sealed the Tigers' fate Sunday, losing 8-2 on the road against the Memphis Tigers. Missouri dropped to 0-6 after being swept for the second consecutive weekend.

The Tigers gave up a lead in the seventh inning to suffer their fifth straight loss. 

Right-hander Eric Anderson has made a speedy recovery from Tommy John surgery and is set to take the mound for his first start of the season Sunday at Memphis.

Dillon Everett, the Tigers' most experienced infielder, announced on Twitter that he underwent X-rays on his right hand Monday. He will be inactive this weekend when Missouri travels to Memphis.

The Tigers held a late-game lead for the second time in as many days, but failed to hold on either time. Southern Mississippi's six-run eighth inning did Missouri in Sunday. 

The Tigers lost their second consecutive game against the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles by a score of 5-3. They'll try to avoid being swept in the series' final game Sunday.

Missouri starter Rob Zastryzny struggled in his first career opening day start as the Tigers dropped the first of three games against Southern Mississippi. 

The Tigers will open the season Friday at Southern Mississippi with an infield that features junior Dillon Everett as the only returning starter. He'll  be surrounded by a cast of highly-touted junior college transfers. 

The addition of the Tigers and Aggies to the already impressive lineup should provide for an exciting season.

Seven of the top 20 teams in the country are from the SEC, according to preseason polls. Missouri is not one of them. The Tigers feel as though they have something to prove.

The junior transfer pulled his hamstring rounding third base during an intra-squad scrimmage Saturday. 

Rob Zastryzny has been the Tigers' most consistent arm since he joined the pitching staff in 2011 as a freshman, but Zastryzny’s junior season brings with it higher expectations and greater responsibility.

Tim Jamieson, the longest-tenured head coach at MU, has been given a contract extension through the 2015 season. Next season will be his 19th as head coach.

The Atlanta Braves took Eric Garcia in the 20th round, Ben Turner went to the Giants in Round 21 and Blake Holovach got a call from the Mariners in the 27th round.

The Tigers lost to Louisville 11-3, and their season came to an end at the NCAA Tucson Regional.

The Missouri Tigers scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to stave off elimination and beat New Mexico State 6-2.
