The Missouri softball team's 4-2 victory over Illinois on Sunday at University Field earned the Tigers their third-straight NCAA regional championship and sends them into next weekend's super regionals.

Sophomore Kristin Nottelmann earned the win in a 3-1 victory over Illinois on Saturday at University Field to advance Missouri to Sunday's regional championship game.

Freshman Ashlie Ortega usually gets playing time pinch running or pinch hitting in games where the Tigers have comfortable leads. Thursday, in a 5-0 win over Central Methodist, she got her first start after a good effort in batting practice.
