Kyle Gibson, Missouri's ace last season, has signed with Minnesota for a deal worth $1.85 million.

Trevor Coleman and Kyle Mach were drafted on Day 2 of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft.

MU pitchers weren't taken as quickly as predicted in Tuesday's Major League Baseball draft, but they were still chosen in the first round. Aaron Crow was selected 12th overall by the Kansas City Royals, and Kyle Gibson was selected by the Minnesota Twins 10 picks later, with the 22nd pick in the first round.

Texas, Baylor and Kansas State each finished play in their division of the Big 12 baseball tournament with a 2-1 record and Kansas went 0-3. Texas advances to play in the championship game at 1 p.m. Sunday because of a tiebreaker that advances the higher seed.

Entering the bottom of the eighth with a one-run lead against Texas Tech, the Missouri bullpen allowed three runs to score. The Red Raiders held on for a 4-2 win at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City in the Tigers' second game of the Big 12 tournament.
