The Missouri men's basketball team has shown it has one of the best offenses in the country. Coach Frank Haith is now focusing on defense. 

In Saturday's 72-57 win against No. 6 Baylor, another sell-out crowd turned up at Mizzou Arena to cheer on the Tigers.

Missouri men's basketball senior forward Laurence Bowers was recognized as a recipient of the Mizzou '39 during the Tigers' game against Baylor on Saturday for his leadership, academic achievement and service to the university and the community.

The No. 4 Missouri Tigers beat No. 6 Baylor 72-57 at Mizzou Arena. In the second half, Missouri used a 17-3 run to take control of the game. Phil Pressey had 19 points to lead the Tigers who improved to 23-2 and 10-2 in Big 12 Conference play.

Neither team led by more than five points until the No. 4 Tigers (23-2, 10-2) went on a 17-3 run during the middle of the second half on the way to a 72-57 victory over the No. 6 Bears.

After a tumultuous offseason, the No. 4 Tigers have surpassed all expectations this year because of strong team chemistry.

For the past two weeks, the Missouri men's basketball team has played quick Saturday-Monday turnarounds followed by week-long gaps, but each situation provides the Tigers a different way to prepare.

Arkansas, Kentucky and Texas A&M are the programs that seem to have the most potential as strong rivals of the Tigers.
