The Missourian Community Outreach Team appreciates all story ideas contributed by our readers. In an effort to integrate your ideas into our story process, we held a community pitch meeting online on April 6

Here’s what you asked, and what we found out:

You Asked:

James Pounds on Facebook: “Boone County road tax.”

We Found:

Last time the Missourian covered the Boone County road tax was in 2008 when county officials extended the half-cent sales tax by 10 years. This means the tax would expire in 2018. The tax will return to the ballot in August, so stay tuned for a story soon about how the city has allocated this money and what a road tax renewal would mean for Boone County.
