Last week, the Philadelphia Phillies drafted Missouri junior shortstop Chris Cornelius as the 480th overall pick in the 16th round of the MLB draft. Tuesday, the St. Louis native signed with the Phillies and announced that he will forgo his last year of college eligibility to play in the minor leagues. Cornelius had a .326 batting average last season with Missouri.
