A Centralia fire Saturday night left a house "most likely" unlivable, Boone County Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Chuck Leake said.

At 9:20 p.m., the Centralia Fire Department was dispatched to 104 S. Jefferson St. and arrived to find the back portion of the house engulfed in flames. The Boone County Fire Protection District was dispatched at 9:30 p.m. 

Leake said a structural assessment would have to determine a definitive outcome for the house.
