Matthew Wade Felts, the choir director of First Christian Church, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree harassment and resisting arrest Friday night.

He was arrested for allegedly "making multiple unwanted contacts with an individual," Sara Diedrich, the public safety information specialist for MUPD, said in an email.

Felts, 38, previously served as the choir director of Hickman High School from 2007 to 2014. In December 2014, he was charged with stalking and placed on leave by the high school.

In January 2015, Boone County Circuit Judge Leslie Schneider issued an order of protection that barred Felts from communicating with the stalking victim. Felts was arrested later that month on suspicion of violation of that order. The court order expired Jan. 14, 2016.

Felts posted his $20,000 bond and was released.
