Johnny Hurd Jr. pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree assault and first-degree robbery in relation to a drug-related shooting from 2017.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the incident.

On Aug. 1, 2017, Hurd and two others entered the home of a 15-year-old male asking for marijuana. The 15-year-old was shot in the chest and sustained life-threatening injuries. He named Hurd as the shooter.

Hurd, who was 18 at the time, was charged and arrested on a $300,000 cash-only bond.
