Danny Jo Harbison, 34, was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Harbison allegedly stole a car and a cellphone at gunpoint Sunday on Crofton Hall Road in northern Boone County.

The victim, identified as L.K.F. in a probable cause statement written by Boone County Sheriff's Detective Chris Lester, reported that a red vehicle had stopped in front of her while she was driving. A man got out of the car, approached her and asked for directions to a nearby town, Lester wrote.

L.K.F. reportedly turned to the direction of the town. When she turned back to face the man, he was pointing a gun at her. He told her to get out of her 1998 Town and Country Chrysler minivan and took her cellphone before driving away in the van.

Lester said that he learned the man was Harbison during his investigation and that the victim later identified him in a photo lineup.

Sheriff's Detective Tom O'Sullivan said investigators believe Harbison was with another person in the red car. The investigation is ongoing.
