Columbia Police are looking for two suspect vehicles related to a shots fired incident around 3 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Apple Tree Court.

The suspect vehicles were described as "a white Cadillac with large rims and a dark-colored Pontiac G6." There are currently no descriptions of the drivers or other suspects. Both vehicles left the scene before officers arrived.

During an investigation officers found "a total of 32 shell casings," according to a press release by police.

No one was injured, but officers said they found one round of bullets "lodged" in an air conditioning duct and another round "lodged in a child's bedroom wall where the child was asleep."

"We are glad no one was injured, especially the child sleeping," Assistant Chief Brian Richenberger said in the release. "Detectives are actively following up on leads to find all the responsible parties. We encourage anyone with information to come forward to help CPD."

Anyone with information about the incident can contact the police at 573-874-7652 or CrimeStoppers at 573-875-TIPS if they wish to remain anonymous.
