KOPN community radio is having an early-bird special and offering reduced entrance rates for its Central Missouri Holiday Parade on Nov. 24.

This reduced fee includes business and nonprofit entries and is available through Tuesday.

This will be KOPN's first time organizing the parade. In past years, the Jaycees were in charge until the organization disbanded in 2017, according to previous Missourian reporting. There was no parade held last year because no one was able to organize it.

The radio station also encourages people to get creative with their entries. Participants can use floats, cars, trucks, marching bands and more, according to the station's website.

Parade day placement will be determined by the order in which the entries signed up, according to a KOPN news release.

More information on early-bird registration and parade details can be found on the KOPN website.
