First Baptist Church of Columbia Pastor Carol McEntyre has been chosen to fill the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship's highest elected position.

She will be the second female pastor to serve as moderator for the national network of churches when she starts her one-year term in June 2020.

In this role, she will lead the fellowship's annual meeting and serve as chair of its governing board.

McEntyre was ordained in 2002 and has been a pastor at First Baptist Church since 2012.
