Gov. Mike Parson appointed Columbia resident Randy Bryson to the Missouri Real Estate Appraisers Commission on Thursday.

The commission regulates real estate appraisers in accordance with federal and state laws, rules, and policies, according to its website. Its mission is to protect the public interest through examining candidates, issuing certificates, approving qualifying and continuing education courses, investigating complaints, and administering disciplinary actions to appraisers who violate rules, statutes or standards.

Bryson is president of Associated Property Analysts Inc. a real estate appraisal company in Columbia. He has been a real estate broker since 1974 and an appraiser since 1980.

Bryson also is a member of the Appraisal Institute, Kansas City, Chapter No. 20; the Columbia Board of Realtors; the Missouri Association of Realtors; and the National Association of Realtors.
