A Columbia man was arrested Friday in connection with the killing of E'quan Spain, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Columbia police arrested Michael L. Anderson III, 28, on charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Spain, 19, was shot around 2 a.m. Sept. 14. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
