Two street repair projects are scheduled for Forum Boulevard in July, the Columbia Public Works Department said in a Friday news release

Cook Concrete Construction will begin replacing failing concrete panels in the northbound lane of Forum between Club Village Drive and Nifong Boulevard at 7 a.m. Wednesday. That work should be done by 7 p.m. Thursday, as weather permits. The street will be open to two-way traffic, but there will be a lane shift. Minor delays are expected and drivers should be cautious.

A crew also will replace failing concrete panels on Forum south of the Hinkson Creek bridge at 9 p.m. July 22. The work will be done at night to reduce the impact on traffic. Forum will be reduced to one lane throughout the project. Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes to avoid traffic jams. The work should be done by the morning of July 24.
