COLUMBIA — A downed line cut power to 562 homes and businesses around 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Columbia Water and Light website.

A power line went down near the intersection of Broadway and Glenwood Avenue and affected homes west of downtown Columbia in the area known as Historic Old Southwest. 

By 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, all power had been restored.
