A woman charged with the abduction of her child was booked into the Boone County Jail on Wednesday morning.

Jillanne Pagano, 25, of Rocheport was first charged in connection with the child abduction case in May 2018. A U.S. Marshal's task force arrested Pagano on June 13 in Murphy, North Carolina, where they found her and her child, according to previous Missourian reporting.

A probable cause statement from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Pagano first took the child when he or she was only a few weeks old. The father was granted sole custody in December 2016, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshal's office.

On June 14, Julianna Pagano, 23, and Valerie Pagano, 59, were also arrested in connection with the case. Julianna is Jillanne's sister and Valerie is her mother, according to previous Missourian reporting. Both women were charged with obstructing/hindering law enforcement and booked into the Boone County Jail. They both were released on $5,000 bond.

Jillanne Pagano remained in jail Thursday afternoon.
