COLUMBIA —A local jewelry store is shutting its doors after more than two decades in business in Columbia.

Tucker’s Fine Jewelry will close no later than Sept. 15, said owners Justin and Sonya Addison, who purchased the store in 2009.

In a press release, Justin Addison said the lease is expiring and "we’re using this opportunity to move on to other areas of interest."

Tucker’s opened in 1996 and was located on Broadway, then moved to its current location at 100 Providence Road in 2008.

The store has been holding a going-away sale since July 20. "Everything under the roof is for sale," Addison said.
