JEFFERSON CITY — A 500-page tax package was critiqued in a Senate Ways and Means Committee hearing that ended before about a dozen opponents had a chance to speak.

House Speaker Pro Tem Elijah Haahr’s House Bill 2540 includes corporate and income tax reductions from 6.25 to 5 percent, infrastructure funding through license and tag fees, and tax generators to make up for the cuts, among many other revisions.
