The Art of the Tow

While the rest of Columbia huddles indoors, Columbia resident Chad Slate heads out to help residents in need of a tow. Slate, who owns his own towing company called I-70 Towing and Recovery, services mid-Missouri 24 hours a day. Slate started towing cars when he was 16 years old, over two decades ago. He said he enjoys the strategy that recovering a vehicle can demand. "It can be a puzzle sometimes," he said. "I enjoy that because it's challenging."
