Diane Elizabeth Scalf, of Columbia, Missouri, born on Sept. 28, 1954, in Meriden, Connecticut, to the late Melvin and Nellie Scalf, passed away at age 64 on May 19, 2019, in Columbia, Missouri.

Diane graduated from H.C. Wilcox Tech in 1972.

Diane spent most of her adult life in Meriden before moving to Columbia six years ago to be near her daughter and grandchildren.

Diane loved crafting and nature, enjoying walks at Shelter Gardens and leaving behind little garden stones she created.

She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed sharing a love for Pokemon Go with her grandchildren — her greatest joy.

Diane is survived by her son, Eric Cullen, Chief Petty Officer USN stationed in Japan; daughter, Kyle Cullen of Columbia, Missouri; and sisters, Terry Brixius (Bill) of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Nancy Ardito of Durham, Connecticut, and Debbie Johnson (Kenny) of Hartfield, Virginia.

She is also survived by two cherished grandchildren twins, Makaila and Colin Burmester.

Diane is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Burial will be private at the Seven Pines Cemetery in Annville, Kentucky.

The family invites donations in Diane’s name to Disabled American Veterans and Welcome Home.
