James Clifford Cretcher, 92, of Columbia died Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Bethel Church, with funeral services following at 2 p.m., officiated by Pastor Jermine Alberty.

Jim was born Sept. 13, 1926, in Logan County, Ohio, to Clifford Nicholas and Mary Delia Hatcher Cretcher, and they preceded him in death. In 1949, he married Joy Carpenter, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 2014. The Cretcher family moved from Oregon to Missouri in 1975, when Jim became Executive Secretary of the American Hampshire Sheep Association. He was a member of Bethel Church for several years.

He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Kaminski (Bill) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Pamela Lancaster (Randy) of Hallsville; four grandchildren, Corrinne Robinson, Tim Ballard, Nicole Huff and Aaron Palmer; four great-grandchildren; two nephews; a brother, Richard Lee Cretcher of Ohio; two nieces; and several grandnieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Marralene Clara Hyde.
