James “Jim” William Turner, 59, of Sturgeon passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 4, 1960, in Columbia to Ronald and Helen (McBaine) Turner.

Jim graduated from New Franklin High School. He worked at the Missouri Department of Conservation, 2M Auto Paint, Stephens College and 2M Color Master and worked alongside his son at Turner & Sons Handyman.

He was a loving and caring soul who adored his family! His greatest blessings were his momma, wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren! He never met a stranger and loved talking to friends and strangers alike. He enjoyed playing darts and attending music concerts. He was son Jarrod Turner’s biggest fan and attended every concert and musical event he could.

Left behind to miss him are his wife, Debbie of Sturgeon; son, Jarrod (Dani) of Centralia; daughter, Marcy Turner (Scott Hobbie) of Nebraska City, Nebraska; mother, Helen Turner of New Franklin; mother-in-law, Wanda Tomlin of Clark; brothers, Ronald “Skip” Turner (Cindy McClelland) of Boonville and Carl Turner (Tammy Old) of New Franklin; sister, Judy Quainton (David) of Oceanside, California; grandchildren Sarah, Kylee, Reed, Tucker and Abigail; stepgrandchildren, Scott Jr., Brandon and Kaja; great-grandchildren, Audi’Anna and Braxtyn; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandchildren Brendin, Braydin and Elijah.

A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at Mo River Pub & Pool/Snorty Horse Saloon.
