Robert Leycester Wyatt

Robert Wyatt, 87, of Harrisburg passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, after a long illness. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23 at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia with visitation from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In keeping with the guidelines put forth by the Boone County heath director, all guests are required to wear a mask, to keep social distancing (six feet apart), cough into your sleeve and wash and sanitize your hands often.

Robert was born March 23, 1933, in Boone County, son of Tommie and Goldie Turner Wyatt. He was a 1951 graduate of Hickman High School. Robert worked for 55 years as a carpenter of Local Union 1925, working all over mid-Missouri for commercial contractors. He was a hard worker and very skilled carpenter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a great racoon hunter and raised several good hunting dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Patty, of Harrisburg; his sons, Tommy (Rosie) Wyatt of Ashland and Rick (Stephanie) Hudnell of Hallsville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his four siblings: Richard, Donald and Porter Wyatt and Irene Cook.
