Defending state champs Blair Oaks High School defeated Buffalo High School at home on Friday, with a final score of 35-7, earning the Falcons the 2019 Class 3 District 5 championship title. They will continue on in their championship journey by facing Cassville High School next week.
Battle faced Fort Zumwalt North for the District Championship on Friday. The Spartans made some headway in the second half, but Fort Zumwalt had already scored 63 points by the middle of the 3rd quarter. Battle's season would end with a 63-20 loss, missing a spot in the state tournament.
