Kassius Robertson leaps up to take a shot

Missouri guard Kassius Robertson leaps up to take a shot during a March 3 game at Mizzou Arena. Robertson will be playing for the Southeastern Conference team at the 3X3U National Championship.

Missouri senior graduate transfer Kassius Robertson will be representing the Southeastern Conference on the court in San Antonio during this weekend’s Final Four.

Robertson, the Tigers’ leading scorer during the 2017-18 season, will play alongside Georgia’s Yante Maten and Juwan Parker and South Carolina’s Frank Booker in the 3X3U National Championship — a three-day tournament held from Friday through Sunday at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.

Robertson and the SEC team will compete against 31 other teams representing college basketball’s 32 conferences for a $100,000 prize pool. All participating players must be college seniors who have exhausted their collegiate eligibility. The winning team will receive $50,000.

Pool play begins at 6 p.m. Friday, and games will be broadcast on Twitter and ESPN2. The second day of play tips off at 10 a.m. Sunday, and the championship bracket begins at 1 p.m. Sunday.

In his lone season with Missouri, Robertson averaged 16.3 points in 36 minutes per game and shot 43 percent from 3-point range. He was named to the All-SEC first team by the league’s coaches.

Maten was named SEC Player of the Year by The Associated Press, while Parker averaged 8.3 points in 24 minutes per game for the Bulldogs and Booker averaged 12.7 in 27 minutes per game for the Gamecocks.
