Offensive lineman Parker Ray led a crop of six Battle High School football players named All-State performers, head coach Justin Conyers tweeted Friday.

Ray was the sole Spartan named to the first team; four players made the second team and another made the third team.

Quarterback Jaren Lewis, wide receiver Drew Gillig, defensive back Jaylon Williamson and linebacker Jake Hedrick were the four Spartans on the second team, according to Conyers. Running back Darren Jordan was named Third-Team All-State.
