Tolton High School has hired Ehrich Chick as its new head baseball coach, the school announced Friday. Chick, who coached the Trailblazers’ junior varsity team in 2017-18, currently owns Columbia Prodigy Baseball Academy and is an instructor at Power Alley.

“Coach Chick has a passionate love for the game,” said Tolton interim athletic director Gary Link in a release. “He is committed to developing our young men on the field, but more importantly preparing them for the challenges of life after high school, and enriching their student experiences at Tolton Catholic.”

Chick was the head baseball coach at Centralia from 2013-15 and the hitting coach at Hickman in 2015-16. He is a graduate of Hickman, where he was an all-district infielder before playing at Colorado Mesa University.

At Tolton, Chick replaces CJ Zeller, who will coach at Boonville, where he is currently a teacher.
