Extra chairs had to be pulled into the room for the large crowd at the lecture series on African-American experiences in Missouri on Tuesday at the State Historical Society of Missouri's Center for Missouri Studies. Bill Thompson spoke with lifelong Columbia resident Sehon Williams about his experiences with urban renewal and discrimination in Columbia. Audience members had the opportunity to engage in the dialogue as well and share potential solutions to improve the community.
