On Saturday, Children's Grove dedicated two new butterfly murals painted by Resident Art artists in Alley A. President of Children's Grove Kim Dude-Lammy said butterflies were chosen for the mural because they are a symbol of kindness. "The butterflies remind us of the power that each of us have within us to effect change," she said. The Children's Grove main mission is to encourage members of the community to plant trees symbolizing the well-being of Columbia children, according to its website.
