In a close match, the Columbia College men's soccer team defeat Lyon College to claim its eighth AMC Championship title Friday at Marvin Owens Stadium. The Cougars were down 2-0 by the end of the first half, a position they haven't experienced all season. With assists from Augusto Camara Caden Castello, junior Lesia Thetsane managed to tie the game in the first 20 minutes of the second half with two goals. In the 66th minute, Nick Brandt scored the third and final goal of the game, giving Columbia College an unblemished record of 20-0. The Cougars will find out their NAIA Opening Round location and opponent Monday, November 18.
