Tanks full of various local Missouri fish that are studied and researched on Friday at the Lincoln University Aquaculture Facility at George Washington Carver farm. Tori Spencer, a senior biology major, is currently doing a study on bass feeding in an experiment to try and shift away from fish meal. Each type of fish have specific behavioral traits. "Trout will fight you and catfish are skittish," said Spencer. Certain fish also become cannibals, eating fish their size, and Spencer has to catch cannibal fish from the school. The cannibals are typically significantly larger than the rest of the fish, Spencer said.
