The Columbia Missourian hosted the 2019 Progress Awards on Tuesday at The Blue Note in Columbia. There were 96 nominations for the awards, and 20 individuals and six organizations were recognized. Arminta Phelps received the Sherman Brown Jr. Award for her chiropractic work and said that "just to be named next to him (Sherman Brown Jr.) is probably one of the biggest honors of my career."
