The Black History 101 Mobile Museum brings an award-winning collection of over 7,000 original artifacts of Black memorabilia to Columbia with artifacts dating from the trans-Atlantic slave trade era to hip-hop culture. Founded by Dr. Khalid el-Hakim, the museum has visited 40 states at over 500 institutions reaching tens of thousands of visitors in diverse spaces. The mobile museum will rotate through Columbia schools from March 2 to March 16.
