Peaceworks held its 34th annual commemoration of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Saturday at the Stephens Lake Park Gordon Shelter. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the bombings. The annual event normally includes a potluck, but due to concerns about COVID-19, the potluck was canceled. About 40 people attended the free event. Those assembled heard from several speakers and later floated candle-lit decorated lanterns on the lake.
