PHOTO GALLERY: Project Homeless Connect at MU Family Impact Center
Project Homeless Connect hosted its 2020 winter event from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the MU Family Impact Center in Columbia to provide a "one stop shop" for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Services at the event included: access to shelter/housing, food and clothing donations, legal assistance, child care assistance, employment resources, haircuts, identification cards, medical checkups, mental health screening, substance abuse screening, Medicaid and Social Security applications, HIV/AIDS testing and veterinary assistance for pets. 137 people had been served by 11:30 a.m.
