The Wilkes Boulevard United Methodist Church is the house for Turning Point Day Center, a homeless shelter that serves food 362 nights a year. Volunteers come from different background in the community to serve dinner from 5 to 6:15 p.m. daily. Unfortunately, its 100-year bell tower has started to crumble, and the church has no money to repair it.
