Numerous wildfires raged across Ventura County in southern California Wednesday, consuming homes and causing widespread damage. Mandatory evacuations have been called in to effect for the engulfed areas. According to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti via Twitter, called the blaze a "skirball fire." It is also responsible for the closure of certain sections of highway in the area.
